San Mateo High School will begin presenting “The Importance of Being Earnest,” this weekend as its spring drama production. The play began Thursday, April 20, and runs through Sunday, April 23, in the San Mateo Performing Arts Center. Ralston Middle School and the San Carlos Children’s Theater are offering a live production of “Peter Pan Jr.” at the McKinley School Auditorium in Redwood City beginning Friday, April 28, through Sunday, April 30. Burlingame High School freshmen Ella Burrows and Alana Howley hosted an indoor cycling ride to raise money and awareness in the fight against ovarian cancer. The event at Revelry Indoor Cycling in San Mateo featured more than 30 participants and local sponsors who contributed more than $11,000 to be donated benefitting ovarian cancer research.
