Central County Fire Department is once again be working with local merchants to collect toys for its CCFD Toy Drive.
Barrels are at various locations throughout Burlingame, Hillsborough and Millbrae where the public can drop off new, unwrapped toys.
Last year, 305 barrels of toys were collected. Fire personnel helped to receive donations at seven fire stations and visited host collection sites to pick up donated items at 35 different locations. Those donations were then provided to one of 10 charitable organizations in San Mateo County.
Donations can be dropped at any Central County fire stations, but also Nuts for Candy & Toys at 1241 Broadway in Burlingame is collecting unwrapped toys for newborn to 18-year-olds. Donations can be dropped off or a toy can be bought in the store.
