SAN JOSE -- Four people have been hospitalized with burn injuries from an explosion at a hunting cabin in remote Santa Clara County over the weekend. Capt. Jerry Agenbroad, a spokesman for the state fire department, says one victim suffered major burns. The other three suffered moderate to critical burns. The explosion happened around 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the kitchen of the cabin, located several miles east of Mount Hamilton and north of Henry W. Coe State Park. Agenbroad says the cabin was not set ablaze by the explosion. The victims, whose identities were not released, were taken to Valley Medical Center in San Jose. The cause of the blast remains under investigation.
