A 78-year-old man was killed while riding his bicycle crossing East Hillsdale Boulevard eastbound in the westbound lanes when he was struck in the intersection by a Toyota Camry driven north on Foster City Boulevard Friday morning, according to Foster City police.
At about 11:25 p.m., the police and fire personnel were dispatched to the scene where they found the bicyclist on the road badly injured. Emergency medical treatment was given and he was quickly transported to Stanford Medical Center where he died, according to police.
The names of the bicyclist and driver are not being released and the exact cause of this collision remains under investigation, according to police.
