Assemblymember Diane Papan will be doling out free tacos and tax help for constituents who make under $69,000 per year this Saturday, March 14, at the Martin Luther King Center in San Mateo.
With many families missing out on valuable tax credits worth hundreds or even thousands of dollars, Papan, D-San Mateo, is hosting a community event to help residents file their taxes for free and claim the money they’ve earned.
Through a partnership with Tax-Aid and Golden State Opportunity, trained volunteers will provide no-cost tax preparation to help eligible residents access credits including California Earned Income Tax Credit; California Young Child Tax Credit; Federal Earned Income Tax Credit and the Federal Child Tax Credit.
The event is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14 at the King Center, 725 Monte Diablo Ave., San Mateo.
