A coalition of Bay Area county election officials wants to remind voters that they still have the option to vote in person.
The Coalition of Bay Area Election Officials said Wednesday in a statement that mail-in voting is now the most preferred method for Californians to cast their votes, but voters who opt to vote in-person or who need additional assistance can still visit their local county elections office.
“Depending on their county, voters also have the option to visit any polling place, early voting location, or vote center,” the group said.
People can refer to their county voter information guide for additional information about voting locations in their county.
“In polling place counties, voting locations are typically open only on Election Day, and early voting locations may be available prior to the election,” the group said. “In vote center counties, voting locations opened last Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, and any voter can go to any voting location in the county.”
All polling places and vote centers are equipped to handle all voting needs, including voter registration, accessible voting, curbside or drive-thru voting, and language assistance as well.
