Actress Kristy Swanson arrested in Canada
LOS ANGELES — Kristy Swanson pressed assault charges Sunday against the ex-wife of her companion and former "Skating With Celebrities” partner, Lloyd Eisler, the actress’ representative said.
Police took pictures of bruises on her back and other parts of her body to document injuries Swanson claimed she got during a scuffle with Eisler’s ex-wife, Marcia O’Brien, on Friday in Canada, said Swanson spokesman Michael Sands.
O’Brien filed a complaint against Swanson first, however. Swanson told People magazine she was arrested Saturday night for allegedly assaulting O’Brien. Swanson, 37, said she was released after posting bail in Kingston, Ontario.
"I had to go the police station where I had an appointment at 9 p.m. to begin the process of being arrested,” People quoted her saying on its Web site Sunday.
Sands said Eisler and Swanson were in Kingston to visit Eisler’s children and discuss custody with O’Brien.
Kingston Police Sgt. Rick LaBrash declined comment. Attempts to reach O’Brien weren’t successful.
Eisler, 44, a former world champion pairs skater, and Swanson met in 2006 while filming "Skating With Celebrities,” News Corp.’s Fox network reality series. Eisler left his wife for Swanson, whose film credits include "Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and "Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.”

Boy-band mogul Lou Pearlman to be transferred from Guam to Fla. on federal bankruptcy charge
ORLANDO, Fla. — The man who created the Backstreet Boys and ’N Sync agreed to be returned to Florida from Guam to face a federal bankruptcy charge, officials said Monday.
It wasn’t immediately clear when Lou Pearlman would leave the U.S. territory of Guam. Deputy U.S. Marshal Jimmy Disbrow said Pearlman would be transported from Guam within 10 days — probably to Hawaii or California. From there, Disbrow said, it could take two or three weeks before Pearlman arrives in Florida.
"It’s really up in the air right now,” Disbrow said.
Pearlman was arrested in Indonesia last week on one count of bank fraud. He was expelled from the resort island of Bali after the FBI contacted authorities there, transferred to U.S. custody and flown to Guam for a hearing.
He is accused of fraudulently securing nearly $20 million in bank loans with documents from a made-up accounting firm. The criminal complaint against him was filed in March and unsealed last week after authorities located him.
Assets have been liquidated in two bankruptcy cases against Pearlman and his companies, and the entertainment mogul has for months ignored court actions against him.
Florida investigators separately allege Pearlman defrauded more than 1,000 individual investors out of more than $315 million in a long-running Ponzi scheme. Several banks say he collectively owes them more than $120 million, according to bankruptcy court documents.
