Vampires, literary monsters and a cake: The Tony Awards offer a number of intriguing, possible wins

NEW YORK (AP) — The Tony Awards are set to celebrate Broadway's best, with 24 shows vying for wins across 26 categories. Grammy winner Pink hosts the event, airing live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ on Sunday night. Pink promises a grand opening number and plenty of performances, including from nominees in shows including “The Lost Boys” and “Titanique.” The competition for best new musical includes “Two Strangers” and “Schmigadoon!” while “Death of a Salesman” and “Oedipus” compete for best play revival. June Squibb, at 96, could become the oldest Tony winner. Nathan Lane aims for his fourth Tony.
