Two days after Aragon (4-2 PAL Bay, 11-8 overall) went 21 up and 21 down in a 2-0 perfect-game softball loss to Capuchino, the Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division’s best offense broke out at home Thursday for 13-6 comeback victory against the King’s Academy (4-3, 7-5).

The Lady Dons totaled 12 hits to get back in the win column, upping its team batting average to .362. Only Mills is within striking distance of Aragon in team batting in the PAL Bay, ranking second in the division with a .349 average.
The Dons trailed three times in the game, until rallying for six runs in the bottom of the fourth. King’s Academy junior Hannah Woo gave her team a 5-3 lead with an RBI single, one of her career-high four hits, in the top of the frame. Aragon responded by sending 12 batters to the plate, fueled by a leadoff triple from junior Olivia Mukherjee. Mukherjee later scored on a wild pitch, before Aragon tied it on an RBI single from sophomore Zoe Farrigan. Sophomore Aliyah Adle gave the Dons the lead with an RBI groundout to drive home senior Elizabeth Magness.
Aragon went on to add four runs in the sixth, with back-to-back RBI doubles from freshman Natalie Jia and Mukherjee, followed by back-to-back RBI singles from sophomore Rachel Horowitz and Magness.
Sophomore Chloe Won paced Aragon with three hits, including a double and two RBIs. Jia added two hits with a double and the first home run of her varsity career.
