The San Mateo football team picked up its second win in a row Friday afternoon, beating Menlo 21-14.
But it was the way the Bearcats did it that has the team fired up. San Mateo (2-3 overall, 2-2 in the Peninsula Athletic League Ocean Division), trailing 14-13 with 4:25 remaining in the game, drove 83 yards to score the go-ahead touchdown with 21 seconds left when Toke Kefu barreled in from 15 yards out. A 2-point conversion from Shawn Sopoaga gave the Bearcats a 7-point cushion.
