The Summit Shasta Black Bears (7-0 PSAL, 19-5 overall), in the midst of their fifth straight undefeated volleyball season in the small-school Private School Athletic League, hit a milestone Thursday with a 25-7, 25-12, 25-13 sweep on their home court against Pacific Bay Christian (2-5, 9-10), marking their 50th straight league win dating back to 2019.
Senior outside hitter Bianca Flores led the way with 15 kills, swinging at a .433 clip, and falling a dig shy of a double-double with nine match digs. Senior Vanessa Xu added nine kills and two blocks, junior Daniela Ruiz had eight kills and 17 digs, and junior setter Ysabelle Galvez was credited with 29 assists and two aces.
