Burlingame 12, Sequoia 11
The Panthers (8-2 PAL Bay, 14-7 overall) won a thriller at Sequoia (6-4, 11-7) to keep pace atop the PAL Bay Division standings in a first-place tie with Menlo-Atherton.
Senior Oliver Canniffe and junior Lucas Carlson led Burlingame with four goals apiece, while senior Adrian Gong added two goals, three assists and three steals, and senior Matthew Derossett added two goals. Sequoia’s Matteo Cuocano led all scorers with five goals.
Hillsdale 17, Priory 11
Senior attack Isaiah Yeager matched his career-high with 15 goals to lead the Fighting Knights (6-5 PAL Bay, 12-7 overall) to the win over Priory (1-10, 4-11) at Sequoia. It marks the first time all season Yeager has scored in double digits this season. His previous season-high was eight. Only one other time in his four-year varsity career has Yeager notched double-digit points, when he scored 15 goals, Sept. 7, 2024, in a 25-2 home win over Terra Nova.

Woodside (6-3 PAL Bay, 10-6 overall) moved into a third-place tie in the PAL Bay Division standings with a 14-5 home win over Carlmont (1-9, 1-10).

Woodside’s Megan Hohl doubled up Carlmont singlehandedly, as the Wildcats (7-1 PAL Bay, 9-4 overall) rolled to victory at home over the Lady Scots (0-8 PAL Bay). Hohl finished with six goals and six steals.

Cross country
Menlo-Atherton boys sweep top five at PAL #3
The Peninsula Athletic League wrapped up its regular season on the five-kilometer course at Bedwell Park, and M-A boys’ varsity swept its way to its third win of the year at the PAL #3 meet.
Senior Cason Mitchell took first place with a time of 16 minutes, 53 seconds, fronting M-A’s perfect team score. Senior Aidan Sharp took second in 16:53; junior Grant Bennitt third in 16:58; senior Brady Phan fourth in 17:01; and junior Benjamin Salceda fifth in 17:03. Hillsdale senior Adam Woo was the first non-M-A finisher, taking sixth place in 17:07.
In the team element, M-A claimed first place; Mills was second, paced by sophomore Patrick Jahutka’s eighth-place finish in 17:11; and Hillsdale took third.
In the girls’ varsity race, Carlmont senior Daniela Cuadros earned the individual title with a time of 19:16 to front the Lady Scots’ team championship. Carlmont junior Katelyn Elliott backed up the title with a third-place finish in 19:26; freshman Isabella Schuett was sixth in 20:39; sophomore Violey Braley was 11th in 20:58; and freshman Zoe Hardman was 17th in 21:49.
M-A took second place in the team element, fronted by sophomore Caroline Pflaum’s second-place finish in 19:23. Burlingame took third place, with senior Stella Newman leading the way in fourth place in 19:39.
