Aragon 3, Carlmont 0
The Dons maintained their lead atop the PAL Bay Division standings with a shutout of the Scots.
Abby Chang and Jayla Stokesberry continue to lead the offense for Aragon (4-1 PAL Bay, 8-3-1 overall) as the duo accounted for all the Dons’ scoring. Chang finished with a pair of goals, opening the scoring in the 37th minute and ending it in the 73rd minute.
Between, Chang set up Stokesberry for her 56th-minute goal.
Carlmont falls to 1-3-1 in Bay Division play with the loss.
Hillsdale 3, Capuchino 3
The Knights’ Aaliyah Schinaman continues to have a strong sophomore season as she had two goals and an assist in her team’s draw with the Mustangs in an Ocean Division matchup.
Schinaman opened the scoring for Hillsdale (3-1-1 PAL Ocean) with an assist from Paige Hardman. She then set up the Knights’ second goal with an assist on Jenna Stanovak’s tally and rounded out the scoring off an assist from Lexi Stevens.
Capuchino’s record falls to 2-3 with the defeat.
Half Moon Bay 4, Oceana 0
The Cougars scored three times in the first half to take control of their Lake Division game with the Sharks.
Morgan Young had a big game for HMB (7-1 PAL Lake) finishing with two goals and an assist. Morgan Day added three assists and found the back of the net once, while Anna Bikle rounded out the scoring.
Girls’ basketball
Menlo School 66, Woodside Priory 63
The Knights held off the Panthers in a WBAL Foothill Division game, outscoring them 15-12 in the fourth quarter.
Coco Layton led Menlo (5-1 WBAL Foothill, 16-2 overall) with 17 points, 15 of which came when she drained five 3-pointers.
Woodside Priory falls to 3-3 in league play.
Notre Dame-Belmont 47, Notre Dame-SJ 31
The Tigers earned their first WBAL Foothill Division win of the season by beating the Regents.
Emilia Dougherty led NDB (1-5 WBAL Foothill, 10-8 overall) with 18 points. Alaiyah San Juan added 11 for the Tigers, while Taylor McDonald chipped in nine points.
South City 59, Oceana 30
The Warriors won their sixth straight league game and seventh overall as they reached the halfway point of the PAL North season with a win over the Sharks.
South City (6-0 PAL North, 11-7 overall) dominated the first half, leading 35-5 at halftime. Becca Tasi led the Warriors with a double-double, scoring 15 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Karizma Bergesen added 11 for South City.
Oceana (0-6, 8-10) was led by Dylan Fulton, who finished with 11 points.
Boys’ basketball
Eastside College Prep 48, Sacred Heart Prep 47, OT
The Panthers rallied to tie the score in the fourth period and then outlasted the Gators in overtime.
ECP (5-1 WBAL, 8-6 overall) outscored SHP (5-2, 8-9) 14-9 in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 39 and then clipped the Gators in overtime, 7-6.
Jai Deshpande and Brendan Carney each scored 12 points to lead SHP, as both hit a pair of 3-pointers.
ECP got a game-high 25 points from Isaiah Samms-Hoy.
