Neuva School claims WBAL team title
Led by a third-place finish from Bence Ordody, the Mavericks earned their first WBAL team title, beating regular-season champion Harker by tiebreak.
Both Nueva and Harker finished with scores of 371. Menlo School finished third with a score of 383, Crystal was fourth with a 409, Sacred Heart Prep fifth with a score of 413 and Design Tech was sixth with a team score of 414.
Ordody was one of four golfers to post under-par scores. Ordody finished with a 2-under 70, behind champion Justin Hsu of Harker, who fired a 7-under 65 and runner-up Theo Haddad of King’s Academy, who shot a 6-under 66 at Coyote Creek Golf Course in San Jose. Sacred Heart Prep’s Eduardo Tapper was fourth with a 1-under 71, the final of five players under par. William Beesley was the top finisher for Menlo as he carded an even round of 72 to finish sixth. Arden Xu has the low round for Crystal, finishing with a 2-over 74, while Design Tech was led by Gavin Loo, who carded a 3-over 75.

Menlo-Atherton 10, Mountain View 3
The Bears shut out the Spartans in both the first and third quarters as they cruised to the PAL Bay Division victory.
M-A (5-1 PAL Bay, 6-4 overall) scored three goals in the first period and two more in the second to lead 5-1 at halftime. The Bears then put the game away with a four-goal third quarter.
Carey Wolf paced the offense for M-A, netting five goals. Ben Skirboll added a pair, while Cole Genauer, Leif Weintz and Teddy Honerkamp each scored a goal apiece.

Girls’ lacrosse
Menlo School 21, Menlo-Atherton 8
Elia Choe was unstoppable as she led the Knights to the WBAL win over the Bears.
Choe was a perfect 9 for 9 shooting and assisted on a 10th to lead the way for Menlo (3-1 WBAL, 11-4 overall). Kaelee Wang was equally lethal for the Knights, as she poured in six goals of her own. Hannah Bernthal filled the stat sheet for Menlo with three goals, two assists, won six faceoffs and three groundballs. Menlo goalie Tiergan Rowe finished with six saves.

Serra finishes runner-up at WCAL championships
The Serra boys’ golf team, which finished the regular season as WCAL team co-champs with St. Ignatius, finished second to the Wildcats at the WCAL championships at Los Altos Golf & Country Club, topping the Padres by three shots — 365 to 368.
Serra had four of its five scoring golfers finish in the top-15, led by Kyler Heath. The defending WCAL individual champ, two-time WCAL Golfer of the Year and the 2025 Daily Journal Boys’ Golfer of the Year, was dethroned, whose round of 68 one shot behind Bellarmine’s Ryan Pupach’s 67. Jack Hickey finished eighth for Serra with a round of 73, Jacob Vierneza was right behind his teammate, posting a 74, while Charlie Beeler finished in a four-way tie for 11th after carding a 75.
