The Dons stayed in the race for the PAL Bay Division title, while the Bears are slipping out of contention following Aragon’s 25-21, 25-22, 25-13 sweep of M-A.
The Dons find themselves one game behind division-leading Hillsdale.
Ailesh Chauhan and Raghav Venulapalli powered the offense for Aragon (5-2 PAL Bay, 26-9 overall), finishing with seven kills each as nine Dons got in the kill column.
Venulapalli added a team-high five blocks, while Chauhan and Santiago Smirnoff each had three; Peyton Chiang had a team-high 13 digs, while setters Smirnoff and Abnik Singh combined for 34 assists.
M-A falls to 3-4 in Bay play and 19-9 overall.

The Vikings handed the Bears their first loss in PAL Bay Division play since April 21, 2022, getting past the three-time defending Bay Division champs in overtime, snapping a Bay Division winning streak at 33 in a row.
Palo Ato (4-0 PAL Bay, 5-2 overall) and M-A (3-1, 4-4) were tied at 2-all after the first period, but the Vikings led 4-2 at halftime. They increased their lead to 6-3 going into the fourth before M-A rallied to tie the score with three goals. Palo Alto then scored in overtime to secure the win.
Matthew Sanford and Zachary Sokol each scored two goals to lead the M-A offense.
Burlingame 11, Carlmont 5
Tied at 2-all after the first quarter, the Panthers held the Scots to just one goal in each of the last three quarters to pull away for the Bay Division victory.
Burlingame (4-2 PAL Bay, 5-3 overall) broke the tie with three goals in the second period to lead 4-3 at halftime and then outscored Carlmont (1-3, 2-6) 6-2 in the second half to secure the win.
Dylan Black paced the offense for the Panthers, scoring a match-high four goals. Rowan Maher added a pair of strikes.

Sequoia (6-2 PAL Ocean, 10-4 overall) scored four goals in the second quarter to take control of its way to an 8-2 win over Hillsdale (4-3, 5-9).

Burlingame wins tiebreaker, 3-2
The Panthers and Dons needed a tiebreaker to decide the Bay Division winner as Burlingame pulled into a second-place tie with Aragon in the Bay Division standings.
William Ye and Nicole Huang gave Burlingame (4-3 PAL Bay) wins at No. 1 boys’ and girls’ singles, respectively. Brandon Mark and Kingsley Kong gave the Panthers the win at No. 1 boys’ doubles, while the No. 1 mixed doubles team of Alvin Ho and Ting Ting Wang needed three sets to come away with a 24-22, 18-21, 21-11 win for Burlingame.
Aragon (4-3) won at No. 1 girls’ doubles, where Allison Hsu and Perlina Tse dominated, winning 21-3, 21-2.

Menlo-Atherton (5-7 PAL Bay) slipped past Mills (0-12), 16-14.
Carlmont (11-0 PAL Bay) stayed undefeated as the Scots cruised to a 27-3 win over South City (2-10).
Westmoor (8-3 PAL Bay) beat San Mateo (4-8), 19-11.
PAL Ocean Divison-leading El Camino (9-0) stayed undefeated with a 26-4 win voer Sequoia (4-4).
Capuchino (7-0 PAL Ocean) rolled to a 26-4 win over Woodside (1-9).
Hillsdale (6-4 PAL Ocean) routed Terra Nova (4-5), 24-6.
