Sacred Heart Prep 5, Capuchino 2
The Gators scored their most runs since a 10-2 win over Mills March 5, making it two in row since snapping a four-game losing streak with a win over Woodside Saturday.
Leading 1-0 after two innings, SHP (2-3 PAL Bay, 7-10 overall) took control of the game with a four-run third.
That made a winner of Kyle Sweeney, who pitched a complete-game two hitter, striking out eight and walking two. Daniel Gee homered and drove in a pair of runs to drive the Gators’ offense. Connor Schmalzle and Sully Fischbein each added an RBI for SHP.
Cameron Chin drove in both runs for Capuchino (1-2, 9-7), hitting a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh.
Hillsdale 5, Burlingame 0
Jake Belloni pitched six strong innings in shutting down the Panthers and leading the Knights to the Bay Division win.
Belloni limited Burlingame (2-3 PAL Bay, 7-7 overall) to just one hit, striking out 12 along the way. Hugo Guzman pitched the final inning, giving up a walk as the Panthers managed just two base runners for the game as the pair faced just two over the minimum.
Hillsdale (2-1, 6-4) scored single runs in the first and fourth innings before putting the game away with a three-run sixth. Guzman had the big hit, cracking a bases-clearing double to drive in three runs. Thomas Schultz and Bennett Young each added and RBI for the Knights, as well.
Gunn 5, Design Tech 0
The Dragons were held to just six hits as the Titans took the non-league win.
Gunn (7-5 overall) scored all the runs it would with two in the bottom of the first. The Titans added a single run in the third and rounded out the scoring with two runs in the bottom of the sixth as five different Titans drove in a run.
Aidan Tom has two hits for D Tech (5-6).
Softball
Mercy 15, El Camino 0
Leading 6-0 after two innings, the Bears ended the game with nine runs in the bottom of the third for the three-inning, mercy-rule victory.
Isabel Reburiano, Vikki Saenz and McKenna Fua all drove in two runs for Mercy (4-1 PAL Lake, 8-6 overall). Melina Antonio got the win in the circle, giving up two hits and striking out five.
Mills 10, Half Moon Bay 0
The Vikings returned the diamond after 12 days off and routed the Cougars in an Ocean Division matchup.
Mills (2-1 PAL Ocean, 10-2-1 overall) scored two in the first, three each in the second and third innings, with single runs in the fourth and fifth to post the mercy-rule win, taking advantage of five HMB errors.
Kalia Woo, Syd Wong, Lucy Esquivel, Audrey Jang and Jazzy Maske all drove in a run for the Vikings, with Woo and Maske collecting two hits apiece.

Woo got the win the circle, as well, limiting HMB (0-4, 6-10) to just three hits in five innings of work.
The HMB Deeney sisters — Olivia, Mariah and Tessa — accounted for the Cougars’ offense, with all three coming up with a single.
South City 9, Lowell 8
After seeing the Cardinals score four runs in the top of the seventh to take a 8-6 lead, the Warriors scored three in their final at-bat to walk off with the non-league win.
South City (6-5 overall) scored single runs in the first and third innings, but Lowell (6-5) took the lead with a four-run fourth. The Warriors regained the lead, 6-4, with three runs in the bottom of the sixth and scored three more in the seventh for the win.
Shiloh Semans tripled and drove in three runs for South City, with Keira Crutchfield, Liala Kinchen and Sydney Semans all adding an RBI for the Warriors.
Sydney Semans got the win in the circle. Of the eight runs scored, only four were earned as she scattered seven hits over seven innings of work. She struck out nine and walked two.
In other action ...
Notre Dame-Belmont (5-0 PAL Ocean, 12-3-1 overall) scored three runs in the top of the seventh to take down Notre Dame-SJ (3-1, 9-7), 3-1.
Boys’ volleyball
Aragon 3, Hillsdale 1
The Dons downed the rival Bearcats, taking a marathon fourth set for the Bay Division.
The first three sets were standard affairs. Aragon (2-4 PAL Bay, 11-14 overall) won the first two sets 25-22, 25-16, with San Mateo (1-5, 6-12) staying alive by winning the third set 25-19.
The Dons clinched the match by outlasting the Bearcats in the fourth set. In the first to 25 points, win by two, the teams played nearly two sets as they combined for 65 points with Aragon prevailing 34-32.
Austin Chen led Hillsdale with 14 kills. Nils Bennebroek added 13 kills for the Knights.
In other action ...
El Camino took down rival South City in four sets — 25-20, 21-25, 25-21, 25-14.
Summit Shasta (9-7 overall) swept Westmoor (2-4) — 25-13, 25-23, 25-21.
Boys’ tennis
Aragon 7, Hillsdale 0
In a make up of a game postponed by rain, the Dons swept the rival the Knights without dropping a set.
Darrin O’Brien was dominant at No. 2 singles, winning 6-1, 6-0. The Dons’ No. 1 doubles team of Keiya Wada and Ziv Rapoport also dropped only one game in a 6-0, 6-1 decision.
Aragon improves to 8-1 in Bay Division play and 9-1 overall, while Hillsdale falls to 1-8 and 2-9.
