Woodside 56, Westmoor 55
Woodside sophomore Meadow Long blocked a last-ditch 3-point attempt by Westmoor as the Wildcats (3-0 PAL Ocean, 7-3 overall) held off a late surge by host Westmoor (1-2, 6-8) to remain unbeaten in PAL Ocean Division play.
The Wildcats held a late 55-44 lead, but Westmoor closed on an 11-1 run, with junior Jhacelyn Capistrano hitting a free throw with 28.6 seconds to go to close it to 56-55. Terra Nova went to the line with 8.8 seconds left, and missed both free throws, but a quick push up the floor by the Lady Rams was met by Long with the clutch block along the wing.
Sophomore Lyla Rich converted six 3-pointers to lead Woodside with a game-high 19 points, while senior Emily Parker added 11. Westmoor senior Kiana Chavez shared the game-high with 19 points, while freshman Jada Monroy added 15.
With the win, Woodside remains tied atop the PAL Ocean leaderboard with Capuchino and Burlingame, each with three wins.
Half Moon Bay 43, Aragon 40
Senior center Zoey Lemoge scored a put-back to give the Cougars a 32-31 lead early in the fourth quarter, and HMB (3-0 PAL Bay, 11-3 overall) led the rest of the way in a back-and-forth battle at Aragon (0-3, 4-8). Lemoge finished with a game-high 28 points. Aragon was paced by senior Daisy Pantoja Beltran’s 15 points.
Menlo-Atherton 54, Hillsdale 30
The Bears (4-0 PAL Bay, 12-2 overall) won all four quarters to claim their fifth straight victory at home against Hillsdale (2-2, 10-4). Nine different M-A players got into the scoring column, led by sophomore Mary Tava’s 10 points, while senior Luisa Tava added nine. The Lady Knights were led by senior Kiara Nitao’s seven points. With the win, M-A is the first PAL Bay Division team to reach four wins.
El Camino 49, Sequoia 37
Senior guard Keilani Der returned to action and shocked El Camino (1-2 PAL Ocean, 4-10 overall) out of an 11-game losing streak at home against Sequoia (1-2, 7-5). The Lady Colts used an 18-5 run in the second quarter to take control, with Der going on to sink four 3-points to net a game-high 20 points. Sophomore guard Lhian Dela Cruz added 17 points for EC. Sequoia sophomore Olivia Macuga scored a team-high 12 points, and junior Annie Gottshall added 11.
Nueva 37, KIPP Collegiate 34
Senior center Julia Randolph recorded a double-double of 16 points and 28 rebounds, as the Mavericks (1-1 PSAL, 5-6 overall) earned their first Private School Athletic League win of the year at home against KIPP Collegiate-San Jose (1-1, 7-4). Junior Anjali Mariathasan added 15 points for Nueva. KIPP Collegiate was led by senior Aliyana Amezcua’s 19 points, while junior Taide Garcia added 11.

Design Tech (3-0 PSAL, 5-3 overall) won its fifth straight 45-32 at home over Pescadero.

Carlmont 55, Jefferson 32
After taking a six-point lead into the half, the Scots (2-2 PAL Bay, 7-7 overall) used a 24-11 run in the third quarter at home to put away Jefferson (0-3, 5-9). Junior guard Jordan Rice led the way with a game-high 13 points, while Andrew Guan and Mikael Bruhnsteyn added nine points apiece. Jefferson senior John Antonio matched the game-high with 13 points.
With the win, Carlmont moves into a third-place tie with Burlingame in the early stages of PAL Bay Division play.
Half Moon Bay 68, Burlingame 59
The Cougars (3-0 PAL Bay, 9-6 overall) rolled to their fourth straight win, using a 25-7 first-quarter run to take control at home against Burlingame (2-2, 10-5). Three HMB players scored in double figures, led by senior Gio Garduno-Martin, who hit three 3-pointers en route to a game-high 21 points. Junior Levi Meighan added 19 points for the Cougars, while senior Owen Perez netted 10. Sophomore post Lucca Maher scored a game-high 27 points for Burlingame, including four 3s, and senior Jean-Luc Uharriet had 17.
Menlo-Atherton 61, Terra Nova 47
Senior point guard Drew Sutton scored a game-high 22 points, and the Bears (4-0 PAL Bay, 11-3 overall) won their fifth straight at Terra Nova (0-3, 7-8). Senior Jerry Williams added 17 points for M-A, while senior Aiden Atkins had 12. Terra Nova was paced by senior Jonathan Martins, who hit five 3-pointers to score 18 points, while senior Kai Gieraths added 11.
With the win, M-A is the first team in the PAL Bay Division to reach four wins.
Hillsdale 47, Mills 38
With the game tied 10-all after the first quarter, Hillsdale (2-1 PAL Ocean, 5-10 overall) won each of the last three quarters to get back in the win column at Mills (1-2, 3-10). Seniors Freeman Lane and Callum North led the Knights with 12 points apiece. Mills junior Jessie Jimenez scored a team-high eight points.
Nueva 49, KIPP Collegiate 26
The Mavericks (2-2 PSAL, 3-9 overall) got off to a slow start, but got into sync in the second and third quarters to snap a two-game losing streak. Nueva led 6-4 after the first quarter, but outscored KIPP Collegiate-San Jose 14-7 in the second and 20-9 in the third. Senior Evan Wang scored a game-high 13 points for Nueva, and senior Ethan Heller added eight. Junior Tristan Nguyen paced KIPP Collegiate with 12 points.

Design Tech (4-0 PSAL, 4-6 overall) rolled to its fourth straight win in Private School Athletic League play 88-26 at home against Pescadero (1-1, 1-10).

Woodside 70, South City 45
Woodside junior Marco Antonio led the way with 22 points and seven rebounds, both game-highs, as the Wildcats (3-0 PAL Ocean, 6-7 overall) rolled to their third straight win at home over South City (2-1, 8-6). Senior Luke Grech added 14 points for Woodside, junior Jesse Castillo had 12, and senior Josh Fitzsimmons drilled three 3s to score 11. Sophomore guard Marcus Zhu paced the Warriors with 14 points.
