SHP played spoiler against crosstown M-A.
Nico Pollioni connected with McKinley Palmer for a 69-yard touchdown pass to give the Gators (1-3 PAL Bay, 4-5 overall) a 14-0 lead with two minutes remaining in the first half, as SHP led the whole way to pick up its first win in PAL Bay Division play of the year. With the loss, Menlo-Atherton (2-2, 6-3) had its hopes of sharing a league championship dashed. The Bears finish the regular season this Friday at first-place Wilcox (4-0, 7-2).
M-A cut the lead with one minute to go in the first half when Xander Eschelman hit Angelo Marin for a 35-yard score. But SHP got the points back in the third quarter when Pollioni fired a 56-yard TD pass to Kyle Chai.
Eschelman was 11-of-17 passing for 132 yards and one TD, while his junior counterpark Teddy Dacey was 12-of-17 for 79 yards. Marin totaled nine catches for 104 yards and a touchdown.
Half Moon Bay 27, Carlmont 19
The Cougars (2-2 PAL Ocean, 7-2 overall) outgained Carlmont 359-284 in total offense to earn the win at home. The Scots (2-2, 5-4) were held to 61 yards rushing.
Senior running back Adler Halterman ran wild for HMB, totaling 31 carries for 220 yards and three touchdowns. Senior quarterback Dusty Dimas was 3-of-5 passing for 48 yards. Carlmont quarterback Johnny Dunne was 16-of-32 passing for 223 yards, including a touchdown pass to senior Brian Sagon. But the Cougars’ defense intercepted Dunne twice in the game. Sagon added an interception for Carlmont.

Menlo (1-3 PAL Bay, 6-3 overall) rallied for its first PAL Bay win 27-14 at home over Palo Alto (1-3, 5-4).
Serra (3-3 WCAL, 4-5 overall) fell 27-21 on the road at Riordan (4-2, 5-4).
Capuchino (4-0 PAL De Anza, 8-1 overall) soldiered to a 21-7 win at home over Burlingame (3-2, 6-3).

Woodside 37, Fremont 19
Senior running back Evan Usher posted his fourth straight triple-digit rushing performance to lead the Wildcats (4-1 PAL El Camino, 6-3 overall) to victory at Fremont-Sunnyvale (1-3, 2-7). Usher carried 21 times for a season-high 189 yards and two touchdowns. The performance puts him over 4,000 yards in his storied varsity career. Usher is now sitting on 4,038 rushing yards in three seasons. He is poised to surpass the 1,000-yard mark for a third straight season in this Friday’s regular-season finale against Milpitas. He has 947 yards in eight games this year.
Four different Wildcats rushed for scores, with senior Dumace Bell, senior Leonidas Sanchez and junior Daniel Torres each scoring one. Torres finished with 153 total yards, taking nine carries for 82 yards to go with two catches for 71 yards. Woodside rushed for 380 yards as a team.
Henry Buenrostro paced Fremont with 120 total yards. The senior rushed 18 times for 85 yards and a touchdown, had one catch for 14 yards, and was 1-of-1 passing for 30 yards.

Hillsdale (2-2 PAL De Anza, 4-5 overall) triumphed 27-0 at home over Mountain View (1-4, 1-8).
Mills (2-6 PAL Lake, 2-8 overall) closed its season with a 35-0 loss at home to Monta Vista (3-3-1, 5-3-1).
El Camino (4-4 PAL Lake, 4-5 overall) fell 17-7 at home to MacDonald (3-4, 3-6).
Sequoia (4-0 PAL Ocean, 5-4 overall) won its fifth straight with a 13-7 victory at San Mateo (4-1, 7-2).
Terra Nova (0-4 PAL Ocean, 2-7 overall) fell 36-26 at home to Milpitas (1-4, 4-5).

carlmont had no interceptions vs HMB. HMB had 2
Carlmont head coach Eric Rado just confirmed Brian Sagon had one interception in the game. Late in the third quarter on a slot receiver option pass.
