San Mateo left-hander Wilson Morales has provided a lot of depth to the Bearcats’ pitching staff this season. In the finest varsity outing to date, though, the sophomore served up Design Tech a dose of its own medicine.

Morales fired a regulation seven-inning no-hitter Saturday, facing just one over the minimum as San Mateo (15-5) claimed a 6-0 home victory over the Dragons. The southpaw set down the first 16 batters he faced to take a perfect game into the sixth inning, before surrendering two walks on the day.
