The Burlingame Fire department and an American Medical response team were dispatched to a Convalescent Home for a medical call in which the victim, an elderly patient, said she had been neglected medical help for a half-hour.
The victim said she had been pressing her bedside panic button for a half-hour and nobody came to help her. The hospital staff informed the paramedics that this particular patient's panic button was broken and that they had been routinely passing her side every half-hour.
The victim also reports instances in which she had been told to 'shut up' by hospital staff. The victim was taken to Peninsula Hospital for treatment.<
