I don't feel assured that 100 percent of illegal immigrants commit one or more fraudulent crimes once in the United States, possess false identities, and receive public subsidies. It is estimated there are 12 to 20 million illegal immigrants in the United States since the 1986 Amnesty Program.
I don't feel assured about legally admitted immigrants that allow their visa to expire and fail to return to their country, fail to follow the visa restrictions, fail to obtain work permits, fail to update their address, and keep the Immigration and Customs authorities up to date.
I don't feel assured of immigrant's allegiance when billions of dollars are remitted to family members living abroad. I would expect that they take their income and invest it in their adopted country, instead of reducing their income only to be subsidized by our government entitlements.
I don't feel assured that "anchor" babies are used to argue that an illegal immigrant should remaining here or because some legal family members resides here should entitle them to go to the head of the line of other applicants that are awaiting entry.
I don't feel reassured when legal immigrants maintain dual citizenship. It prevents assimilation and group solidarity toward our country. Where does their allegiance lay? The larger picture is that many legal and illegal immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers will return to their country and never become citizens. Resident aliens should have to become citizens within seven years or lose their immigration status and be deported.
