With summer going into full effect, temperatures are rising and more people are spending time outdoors. Some choose to spend their time at pools, beaches or water parks on really hot days, but none of those places can compare to the thrill achieved by whitewater rafting. Combining team cooperation and persistence, whitewater rafting is the perfect activity for a weekend getaway with friends and family.
Being a Boy Scout who just recently returned from a rafting trip this past weekend with Foster City Troop 175, I can guarantee that everyone loves the excitement of flying through rapids with their closest of friends. When the water is calm and the next rapids are far away, it provides a great opportunity to get out of the raft and go for a little swim. No need to worry about the boat or anything for that matter, the outfitters are extremely talented and know how to have a good time while keeping everyone safe.
I hope your newspaper will someday mention the greatness that comes alongside whitewater rafting in a future issue. I think it’s an amazing adventure that many people would enjoy if they were able to experience it firsthand.

One of the greatest adventures I ever had was rafting over the falls at the Forks of the Salmon in a big rain year. The rafting companies are very skilled in providing for your safety and pulling you out of the drink when necessary. You can select trips out for various skill levels and I highly recommend going on a rafting trip.
