I would like to hear from the Hillary Clinton supporters now that the memo was released seeing absolute proof top officials at both the Department of Justice and the FBI conspired alongside the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign to solicit, pay for and distribute lies about the candidate Donald Trump. It is no wonder the Democrats, headed by our very own Adam Schiff, the FBI and the DOJ didn’t want this memo released. It is absolutely damning to our government institutions and what it says about the candidate Hillary Clinton, her campaign and the DNC. The charges are now facts.
The Clinton campaign paid $12 million for a dossier written by British spy, Christopher Steele, through the media group Fusion GPS. The purpose of this dossier was to smear the candidate Donald Trump with lies created by unverified Russian sources. The FBI then used this phony dossier to get a federal judge to issue Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court warrants allowing the Obama administration, the DOJ and the FBI to wiretap opposition candidate Donald Trump. These lies were the genesis of the Mueller investigation.
Funny thing is, without evidence, the only thing being reported is how Donald Trump himself colluded with the Russians. The congressional investigation, however, has shown us an entirely different picture. All evidence points to the fact that there was a massive constitutional crisis in our country. Top officials within our government became so biased against one candidate that they were willing to take the election of our president into their own hands. The only problem, Hillary lost.
The Journal should be embarrassed to be publishing this regurgitation of talking points from Fox News. "The memo" is disingenuous at best. The FBI is historically a heavily Republican-leaning organization. (There has literally never been a Democrat at its helm -- Democratic presidents have always bent over backwards to pick Republican appointees to appear bipartisan, though Republicans have never felt any need to reciprocate.) And the NY field office of the FBI pushed leaks about the email "scandal". So the notion that the FBI was anti-Trump does not stand up to scrutiny. Meanwhile, the team that was investigating Carter Page and Mike Flynn were just doing their jobs -- it's possible Page is too stupid to have meaningfully collaborated with the Russians, but he was taking a lot of meetings that raised justifiable concern. Flynn has pled guilty to pushing the interests of Turkey over those of America, while holding the public trust during the transition and his time on the National Security Council.
There is a real conversation to be had about reforming the FISA Court. But espionage and subversion are real concerns, and we do need methods for investigating and countering them. Any plausible version of the FISA Court would've approved these warrants, because members of the Trump team really were foreign agents. The remaining question is how deep the rot goes -- will Jared, Don Jr, Ivanka, and the President himself be proven guilty either in collusion or cover-up? No one can say for sure yet, but if Mueller is allowed to do his job, we'll find out.
Don't let the truth get in the way of your argument, you should be ashamed of yourself. Lies and withholding information in order to get a FISA warrant is illegal. If you want clear evidence of bias in the FBI, just read the texts between Peter Strzok, Chief of the Counterespionage Section of the FBI and his mistress, FBI lawyer, Lisa Page. You wouldn’t learn that by watching CNN and MSNBC. Go ahead deny this fact. The noose is tightening but I know the Democrats will not acknowledge seeing something that is right in front of their faces and continue to stick their collective heads in the sand crying in unison, “Trump colluded with Russia” all without any evidence. Sad.
What would you know about the truth? The only lies in this whole sad memo affair have been ones told by you, your president, and Devin Nunes. Neither you nor the memo are truthful, and what's more it's obvious you haven't even read the memo. Your boy Trey "Benghazi" Gowdy was on the Sunday news shows running as far from your conclusions as his mouth would carry him. And by the way, he's the only Republican on the House Intelligence Committee who has actually read the raw intelligence upon which this nothing memo was based. As for the texts, even the Wall Street Journal says there is nothing there.
You are clearly wasted scribbling these stupid comments in this little newspaper. You should run for office. No doubt Jackie Speier is quaking in her heels at the thought of a human parrot debating her, spouting nonsense he heard at the local cross burning.
By the way, we are all still waiting for that Hilary indictment you keep promising.
