Editor,
I have lived in San Carlos almost 70 years and never do I remember so much work being done on and around the streets in town.
A few months ago I thought I was one of the lucky ones. I was about to receive a brand new section on the corner of my sidewalk that was Americans with Disabilities Act compliant. What a work of art. Not only did my old broken sidewalk disappear but the appearance of my street and home was enhanced by brand new, expensive concrete and asphalt. Thank you!
I assume that much of this improvement comes from our tax dollars. There must be millions of dollars being spent in San Carlos to not only make our streets safer but to enhance the appearance of our homes and business community as well.
Next week, I believe my street is being paved along with quite a few others around town. I do not take these projects for granted and would like to thank the people that made this happen.
PG&E is also in town working on various projects such as gas pipelines. Thank you! All of us living in San Carlos are fortunate to have wise people taking care of our infrastructure.
On a side note: Many of the crews working on this projects have become familiar faces to me and me to them. I have and will continue to go out of my way to thank them for taking good care of those of us fortunate enough to live in San Carlos.
