This is in response to a letter “DACA is an illegal executive order” printed in the Daily Journal on Monday, Sept. 11, by Mike Brown of Burlingame.
The gentleman is either ignorant or very poorly informed. He states that no families will be separated if illegal immigrants are deported. He probably hasn’t heard the stories published in the Bay Area over the last few weeks. Even U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein got personally involved trying to help prevent Maria Mendoza-Sanchez and her husband Eusebio from having to leave for Mexico while their children are allowed to legally remain in the United States. Buddy, this is only one family separated, but rest assured there are others too. You shouldn’t make such ridiculous statements if you are so sadly misinformed. Family separation is very bad, and we should be able to come up with a better solution.
It has been shown that "Dreamers" have followed the law better than their native counterparts, while contributing more to the US economy, - and you want to honor that by throwing them out of the only country they know? That sounds like sick Republican logic.
Maybe we should consider family reunification in their country of origin. You might not like the laws in our country Otto, but many of us in your community believe in law and order. We have the right to control our borders and know who is in our country. If you plan on unifying your family in my country illegally, be prepared for the consequences whether as a family or an individual.
The Crusades were a series of military campaigns first inaugurated and sanctioned by the papacy that were undertaken between the eleventh and thirteenth centuries. Originally, the Crusades were Christian Holy Wars to recapture Jerusalem and the Holy Land from the Muslims, then to defend Christian-held Jerusalem.

The "solution" is to follow the law. And if people don't, then there are unpleasant consequences. That's how it works.
