Looks as though FDR was wrong about Dec. 7 being “a date that will live in infamy.” I put out my flag to see if any passersby would ask about it. Few did. Should have seen it coming. Reminded me of the standup joke about “the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor” and the young person asking “what did they have against her?” The few news stories I saw concentrated on the shrinking number of survivors of the 1941 attack that launched us in to World War II, which also reminded me of the cynical reporter’s quip about “if it didn’t happen in my lifetime, it didn’t happen.”
