I think if Anna Eshoo deserves to have one of the new electric trains named after her, it would be appropriate that one of the other trains be named “Taxpayer” in honor of the taxpayers without which it never would have come to fruition.

Thanks for your letter, Mr. Carboni. I’d add that we need more than one train, perhaps “Taxpayer 1” to begin with? And what happens when Ms. Eshoo is no longer held in esteem? Didn’t we learn anything from folks wanting to cancel the names of folks who are no longer “en vogue” off of schools, cities, infrastructure, and even landmarks?
