We respectfully disagree with the Daily Journal’s endorsement for Millbrae City Council District 1. We believe Stephen Rainaldi is the best candidate for this council seat. From the start, in the grassroots effort, Stephen championed for the Millbrae majority in opposition to the La Quinta conversion. We got to know Stephen well during this grassroots movement. (Stephen’s District 1 opponent favored the county’s plan to convert the La Quinta Inn into supportive housing, at least until it proved politically hazardous.)
Going forward, Stephen can be trusted to be a consistent, common-sense voice for Millbrae residents. He’ll listen to his constituents, not outside special interests, and will work collaboratively to find solutions to our city’s challenges. As a lifelong Millbrae resident, Stephen truly cares about this city and has a strong investment in its future. Voters should feel confident that Stephen Rainaldi will lead our city in a direction that the majority of residents can support. Vote Rainaldi!
