If President Biden withdraws, substitute former Illinois congressman Adam Kinzinger. Yes, he’s a Republican, but that’s the point. The Democrats could present Kinzinger-Harris as a bipartisan “unity ticket” that attracts independents, undecideds, middle-roaders, double-haters, never-Trumpers, and young people.
Kinzinger’s exemplary service on the January 6th Committee proved he’s a staunch defender of democracy, which we need now — and it’s why the Republicans censured him. He’s moderate and reasonable to work with. A bipartisan administration could unite the nation and test the electorate’s claimed desire for less political division.
Too radical? Then flip the ticket: Harris-Biden instead of Biden-Harris. They could still work as a team while nudging Biden toward his well-deserved retirement. This alternative could also avoid any campaign-finance conflicts that may prevent a different Biden substitute from using his campaign funds.

Interesting proposition, Mr. Halfhill. Like Kinzinger, many times, I think I’m tearing up. But these are tears of joy because I so enjoy the desperation of seeing you propose a RINO to be a Dem candidate. Just goes to show everyone they should vote for Trump to Take America Back.
Wow Tom! Last night, I thought I was being original by thinking the Democratic ticket should be reversed. Biden could act in an advisory capacity while lessening his work load. It would end the age issue and concentrate on the substantive issues we care about.
Come on Tom, you can't be serious. "Kinzinger’s exemplary service" , These attributes are mutually exclusive for this sleazy politician. He reminds me of a character out of the former DDR. Remember the German Democratic Republic, about as democratic as the state here as envisioned by Kinzinger and his ilk. His bawling still makes me cry, but of laughter.
