In the June 1 Daily Journal Suburban Living section article by the AP, the headline reads “Expert tips for creating a summer-ready backyard.” The article states: “Elevate the ambiance of a landscape by integrating water and fire features. Ponds, fountains, fire pits and fireplaces have become immensely popular elements that stimulate the senses and create a more inviting atmosphere.”
Oh, wait a minute, NOT in San Mateo or neighboring cities. Fire pits, fireplaces and grills connected to a gas line are all banned! Oh well, why you still can, you should light a candle and pop a cork because, that’s as good as it’s going to get.
Good points, Dino. But in San Mateo can you still light a candle outside - you know, with the multitude of Spare the Air days? And can you still pop a cork – are we sure someone hasn’t sued to stop corking bottles as they’re potentially a projectile hazard?

Allowing this would have a .000000000001% effect on CO2 in the air.
