Magee for county superintendent

I was a trustee for two terms on my local school board and for two terms on the San Mateo County Board of Education. From my experience in both positions it is clear to me that Nancy Magee will be an excellent superintendent of schools. Nancy is the only candidate endorsed by both the Daily Journal and the Daily Post.

Fostering successful teamwork and support with all school districts in San Mateo County is a critical part of the job. As an example of her skills, Nancy demonstrated that quality as a leader in the creation of the “Big Five” emergency lockdown program with school districts and law enforcement agencies county wide. Her work involved real, nuts-and-bolts teamwork and coordination with a myriad of law enforcement agencies and school districts. For me, that tells the story of how she will address the challenges of this office. The San Mateo County Office of Education exists to help local school districts in their work of educating our students. That role includes many tasks, all of which involve teamwork, outreach and collaboration.

Having begun her teaching career in the classroom and now 34 years later as associate superintendent with the San Mateo County Office of Education, Nancy Magee is very qualified for your consideration to fill the San Mateo County Superintendent of Schools position.
