I've been burglarized six times in the last three years while living in Burlingame. Not once have I read in any police blotter of these incidents. I made my report on the latest break-in this past Friday Nov. 12, 2004. I had over $2,000 in tools stolen from my storage, which is kept locked. I wouldn't have even realized the theft if the lock had been put on differently. Our apartment has been targeted on other occasions regarding other tenants. Whenever a policeman is called to the scene, they are very short with their investigation and usually say that there is nothing they can do and that since we live on El Camino Real, you're gonna have that, or we should contact our landlord and have them install better security devices. Well, I say "thanks a pant load." I would feel a little better if my fellow neighbors were at least notified of these burglaries and may want to take a little more precaution in locking up their valuables, or double locking in my case.
