"Kids" on scooters—what a joke, only in "Hillsborough!" We live in San Mateo, scooters are the fun rage. Our neighborhoods are crawling with the "razors." They're well-built an very safe. I'm 48 years old and ride my 12 year old daughter's scooter (when she's not using it).
Police chief Robert McNickel claims they are dangerous, when he states there have been no razor scooter accidents.
It;s good exercise, good fun, and very safe. I guess Mr. McNickel should ban bikes, trikes, baby strollers, skateboards, rollerblade etc. Just send all the children of Hillsborough down to the mall to "hang out," do some body piercing, maybe a tattoo, cell phone—little drug dealing??!!
Dear Chief McNickel, wake up and smell the fun of being a child again. Chief McNickel your quote was "There have been no reported "razor" scooter accidents." Enough said Sir.
