In response to the letter that asks us to ponder the latest Hamas proposal of Israel ending the war before hostages are released won’t work, because as Israel knows, Hamas could breach its commitment and drag out the negotiations for 10 years or more. It was Hamas that “rejected the proposal that had been put forward by Israel, that President Biden had outlined, that the United Nations Security Council and countries all around the world had endorsed.”

Well written, Ms. Roth. It’s also important for Hamas to surrender unconditionally before Israel commits to ending the war. Hamas should not be rewarded in any way for their atrocious massacre.
