Editor,

I wanted to publicly thank Craig Wiesner for his article “The Lens” in the Jan. 27 edition of the Daily Journal. I totally agree with his sentiment about how our experiences shape us as human beings. These experiences, both positive and challenging, create the lens by which we view the world and interact with one another.

Thanks for your letter, Ms. Barrientos, but I don’t believe Mr. Milk was around when the B, T, Q, and + were added so I’d question if Mr. Milk would have been a proponent. That being said, I agree we should all be seen and heard but identity politics should not be the basis for being “more accepted.”
