My recommendation is for Mr. Wiener to work with Gov. Newsom, the commissioner of the California Highway Patrol, California police chiefs, etc. and deliver a campaign that enforces a zero tolerance for the huge number of drivers that are blowing stop signs, running red lights and showing disregard and disrespect for our laws and our law enforcement professionals.
Let’s address the behavior of people that are being reckless and enforce the laws we profess to respect.Â
Thanks for your letter, Mr. Altscher. Considering there’s already a practice of disregarding and disrespecting law and order, do you think traffic enforcement is a priority? You have to wonder how cars are going to know what the speed limits are on every street in the state. If via signs, folks will paint over the sign. If over the air, folks will turn off the receiver. Easier said to limit speeds than actually doing it.
