Editor,

I am disappointed that San Mateo County Supervisor David Canepa decided to misuse his office to go after Chick-Fil-A, a private company that is abiding by all applicable non-discrimination laws. This is not unlike Trump going after CNN or Erdogan going after Uber.

In a free country, government should be serving the people on real issues, like traffic and fire safety, that need much attention in San Mateo County. We the people are more than capable of deciding for ourselves where to get our chicken sandwiches. There are many Chick-Fil-A locations in South Bay, is there any problem with them making anyone feel unwelcome?
