How sad for letter writer Victor Carboni that he thinks “a government of the people, by the people and for the people” is best achieved by attempting to trick the majority into saying something different after their will has been determined. The $250 million-plus wasted on the recent vote could have been spent on a project that Mr. Carboni professes to care about.
Another day, another writer complaining about money spent on the recall – conveniently forgetting about the billions of dollars spent on wasteful projects, and especially the $31 billion lost to EDD criminal fraud. Hey, Mr. Simmons, think what projects could have been funded with $31 billion. Like maybe a recall a day from now until the middle of January. Or maybe giving everyone in Redwood City a ticket to ride into space via Blue Origin. There may even be some money left over for a burger and fries.
