I wanted to extend a thank you to San Carlos police Officer, S. Pettit. Last Sunday, at the Farmers Market, my car key (the one large ignition key) had dropped into an unusual spot in my car in such a way that I just could not retrieve it and I had to leave my car unlocked and parked.
Anyone would be able to push start my vehicle! I saw an officer and went up to him and said, “I need your help.” The name on his uniform was S. Pettit. He immediately pulled me to the side and said, “of course. What’s going on?”
I told him about the key and he followed me to my car without any hesitation to help! I was so impressed with his diligence for approximately 20 minutes until he was able to pry it out with some duct tape and a sharp picture stand (from nearby store) and I got my key! I was so very thankful for his kindness and willingness to help me. So thank you for your service as an officer, but more importantly, a true gentleman.
