Within the past eight days, Stanford lost to Cal and San Jose State on the way to posting a fourth consecutive 3-9 record. Should they fire the coach? (To be fair, the 2024 campaign was Coach Taylor's first season at The Farm.) Stanford needs talent. Andrew Luck was hired to help Coach Taylor with recruitment, but in this day and age of NIL and the transfer portal, the pool of talented players needed to transform Stanford into an ACC champion is drying up. Why? Climate change. It's real. The players needed to turn around Stanford's football fortunes would rather go to programs with a climate of winning. You won't find that in Palo Alto. Look at what Coach Sanders has done at Colorado in just two years. Stanford needs a new coach.
Steve - I'm leaning that way also, the former CAL player now coaching on the Farm appears awkward. Maybe Luck can bridge the gap.
I will say I truly believe that David Shaw surprised many people when he Left - as well as left the cupboard is bare. THAT was the beginning of Stanford not competing under Walsh, Green, Willingham, Harbaugh and Shaw.
Then - I guess you tried to draw a parallel to an incident that happened during a 49er game ... (In their loss to the Packers the 49ers had two consecutive penalties for too many players on the field —unacceptable…fire the responsible coach.) as well as things you did not like over the period of a 162 game MLB season ... IE (SF Giants, hire a new hitting coach and pitching coach for the upcoming season.)
Although I'm in agreement that our Sheriff should step down, I believe you chose two of the most bizarre and incorrect examples known to mankind.
Too many men on the field during an NFL game is a product of gamesmanship where by the opposing offensive coach 'runs' a hurry up offense - not allowing the defense to substitute their 'package'.
The MLB hitting coaches are basically glorified baby sitters. A young hitter who comes up to the highest level in the MLB, known as the Show, has his habits established, thus all one can do - is help guide his good habits and minimize his bad hitting habits. As I am sure you know, hitters get themselves out 7 out of 10 times. Ted Williams once said that "hitting a moving baseball, is the hardest thing to accomplish within all sports".
Firing coaches within the realm of professional sports does not always solve problems.
Oh and by the way. two out of three of the SF Giants hitting coaches are no longer with the club - as others felt them worthy enough to hire them 'away' from SF.

Hello, Steve

My last post was meant for RAY ...
Steve Duncan - you commented that:
Sheriff Corpus, do the right thing and resign.
