Al Vannucci wants Nancy Pelosi and those who are against the war to know the facts. But it is Vannucci who has trouble keeping his facts straight.
He blames Bill Clinton for starting the war with Iraq. Clinton did take action to enforce and protect the no-fly zones imposed on Iraq after the first Gulf war. That was the war that the older George Bush (Republican) started. He calls Clinton’s enforcement an act of war but Clinton took action to safeguard the lives of American pilots that patrolled the no fly-zones that came about because of the older Bush’s war.
Vannucci then states that it was Iraqi terrorists who attacked the World Trade Center. Mr. Vannucci, the terrorists who attacked the World Trade Center were from Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Lebanon and Egypt. It might pay for you to get your facts straight.
Vannucci states that 45,000 to 50,000 U.S. troops were killed in Vietnam. Wrong again, there were over 58,000 American deaths in that war.
It has taken a little time, Mr. Vannucci, but most Americans now realize Iraq had nothing to do with the attack on the World Trade Center. It might be a good time for you to realize that too.

Jews justified in defense
Editor,
Almost 20,000 Jews have had to flee their homes in Sderot, Israel because of continuous Palestinian rocket attacks. If Osama and his boys took over Tijuana and fired Kassam missiles into the homes of San Diego, would not America be justified to fight back?
