Robert Louis (Bob) Pipinich passed on February 1, 2026 in Sihanoukville, Cambodia after a long, lingering illness. Bob was born June 04, 1942 in Portland, OR to Robert F. and Betty Pipinich. He was raised in San Francisco and San Bruno, CA attending Mission Dolores and St. Robert’s grade schools, graduating from Capuchino High school in 1960.

Bob served 2 years in the Navy aboard the USS Boyd (DD-544) and worked for United Airlines in San Francisco and Honolulu. While in Honolulu, he worked as a deck hand in Kewalo Harbor. Bob eventually obtained his captain’s license and captained the Cutty Sark, his party boat out of Honolulu and Kona. He appeared frequently on the “Let’s Go Fishing” TV show in Hawaii as a knowledgeable guest, traveling and fishing around the world. Bob fell in love with SE Asia, moving to Chalong Bay, Thailand in 1994. He ran the Phuket fishing lodge there for years before moving to Sihanoukville, Cambodia where he owned and ran “Club Sandwich” and The Aqua Family Resort. Bob married in 2005. He and wife Kmao welcomed daughter Sara in 2007.
