Luigi Mancini of San Carlos, CA passed away on September 18, 2023.
Luigi was born in Capannori, Lucca, Italy on June 28, 1936, to parents Elvira and Gustavo Mancini. Luigi began learning his carpentry skills and building his hard work ethic at a young age while still in Italy. As a young man he moved to the North Beach, San Francisco area from Italy travelling on boats and trains to start a new life in America. He enjoyed spending time with his Italian friends and met his wife, Franca, at Club Fugazi.
Luigi perfected his amazing woodwork and carpentry skills over the years. He was a loyal husband, father and hard-working man who always looked out for his family and friends. After working all week on his construction jobs, Luigi enjoyed building beautiful kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom cabinets for many of his family and friends who still enjoy his unique carpentry in their homes today.
Luigi also enjoyed making home-made wine which he was very proud of, taking family vacations in Lake Tahoe when his children were younger, and attending Italian dinner dances and festivities with his family and friends.
He is survived by his children Laura Amato (Mark Amato), Dave Mancini, and Sabrina Villalobos (David Villalobos); grandchildren Alex, Donovan, Daniel, Ohana, and Kaia; sister Emilia Pieroni; niece and nephews.
The family would like to thank everyone for your prayers and condolences. In lieu of flowers, for those of you who would like to offer your condolences, the family asks you to consider making a donation in Luigi’s name to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America https://alzfdn.org/support-us/donate/
