Fambrino "Frank" Joseph Pegueros, born Dec. 6, 1917, died June 28, 2010 of natural causes. Husband of Amparo Manjarrez Pegueros and father of Edward, Henry, Frank and Gary Pegueros. Grandfather of Marisa, Adam, Scott, Justin, Michael, Brittany, Dylan and Lindsey Pegueros. Brother of Toni Edwards and the late Gustavo Pegueros.
A native of San Francisco, Frank was a San Mateo resident since 1954. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1942 to 1945. Frank worked for Hiram Walker & Sons for 42 years and was a true die-hard fan of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers. Frank will be dearly missed by his family and treasured friends and relatives throughout California and Mexico.
Friends may visit on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with a celebration of life at Sneider & Sullivan & O'Connell Funeral Home, 977 S. El Camino Real in San Mateo. Graveside service will follow at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo. Donations in memory of Frank to the Arthritis Foundation, 657 Mission St., Suite 603, San Francisco, CA 94105 or to the Veterans Administration, 800-827-1000.
