Faith Katherine Gilkison Smith Photo

Faith Katherine Gilkison Smith died peacefully on July 5, 2025, after a four year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was a classy lady who loved her children and grandchildren. A dedicated and doting grandmother who attended all sporting events and was a constant fixture in their daily lives throughout their childhood. Faith displayed unbreakable spirit and faith when overcoming the tragic loss of her son, Scott, in 1986.

Faith was born in Kansas in 1940, and was the fifth of nine children. She was an Executive Assistant for the San Mateo County Office of Education for twenty one years and was highly regarded by her colleagues and supervisors; many of whom became lifelong friends. She was a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to her as Aunt Fifi. Faith is survived by her daughter, Jennifer, her grandsons (Henry, Francis and Joseph), and sisters (Wanda, Marietta, and Barbara). She will be greatly missed.
