Dorothy Rose Gordon (Dot) of San Carlos, daughter of Frank and Carmen Gallegos, born in San Francisco Nov. 16, 1931, peacefully died in her home at the age of 86, Nov. 28, 2017.
Dorothy was raised in San Francisco where she met her husband, Albert (Al), of nearly 65 years, who died earlier this year. “The only comfort we have is knowing that she is now reunited with the love of her life.”
Dorothy formed many lifelong friendships throughout her life. From her days at Bank of America to the South San Francisco School District where she retired. Most importantly, her joyful affiliation with the San Carlos Chapter of the Red-Hats, added to her cherished friendships.
Dorothy shared Al’s love of boating, and enjoyed time spent at their Shasta Lake home. Cruising throughout the world with Al was another passion she greatly enjoyed.
Dorothy loved her family, the love and respect she received from them was the light of her life. She was deeply adored by her two daughters, Cheryl (Gary) Barrango and Diane (Tony) Demattei as well as her grandchildren Janelle, Ryan, Kristin and Kaitlin and great-grandson Vincent.
Dorothy’s family will be holding a private memorial.
