Born Dec. 3, 1932 in Havana, Cuba, Claudio Suarez died suddenly on June 13, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Helen, of 53 years and will be missed by his two sons Gene and Matthew. Claudio was a graduate of the University of Havana with a bachelor’s and graduate degree in commercial sciences. He worked as an accountant in the real property management department of Wells Fargo Bank for 22 years. Claudio was an active member of St. Gregory’s Parish: as an usher for over 30 years, a Eucharistic minister and prayer partner. He was also a Grand Knight of the Knight of Columbus, a board member of the San Mateo Chapter of NAMI and a volunteer for HICAP. His family will remember him with great love and admiration. A memorial mass will be said at St. Gregory’s Church in San Mateo at 10:30 am on Thursday, July 19. In lieu of flowers, donate to the San Mateo Chapter of NAMI or the Alzheimer’s Association.
