Bill Hopkins passed away on Dec. 28, 2017. He is survived by his wife Christine, son Jon, daughter Eleni, siblings: Jimmy, Gary, Kenny, Sue and Linda. Many nieces and nephews also survive him.Â
Billy was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War who was awarded the Bronze Star. He was known for his silly and engaging smile and personality. He was also known for his practical approach to life and the wisdom he imparted to those around him.
Friends are invited to a Trisagion service at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross, 900 the Alameda in Belmont, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, with a funeral service to follow at the church 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3. Interment will follow the service at Skylawn Memorial Park.
