Barbara M. Beirne, born March 27, 1939, to Alexis and Margaret Higgins, died March 2, 2017.
She was raised in San Francisco and San Mateo, California. She graduated Notre Dame High School in 1956 and Dominican University in 1960. Barbara received her teaching credential and taught kindergarten. She loved reading, music and animals.
“She will be greatly missed by all.”
Survived by five children: Maura Baldocchi, Sheila Keegan, Margaret McClanahan, Martin Beirne and Kathleen Molina; seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, four nieces and nephews and sister Mrs. Michael Bodisco of Burlingame.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 24, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 1 Notre Dame Ave., San Mateo, CA.
