Art Longinidis, age 83, died peacefully Monday, March 6, 2017. Born Aug. 15, 1933, in Crimea, Russia, he lived in Greece, San Francisco and then settled in Belmont, California. He worked as a computer programmer until retiring in 1999.
Survived by wife Christine; children John (Karina) Longinidis and Ellen (Andrzej) Skoskiewicz; grandchildren Leanna, Luke, Jack, Sophia, Vanessa and Elle; and sister Maria Christidis of Sydney, Australia.
A Trisagion Service will be 7 p.m. Monday, March 13, followed by a funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 14. All services will be held at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross, 900 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont, CA. Interment at Greek Orthodox Memorial Park in Colma, CA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to AHEPA National Organization, Chapter A392 or Church of the Holy Cross in Belmont, CA.
